Easy Best Makes Big Return
Oct 05, 2017
Easy Best (pictured) made a super return to racing last week, resuming after 18 months off to run second at Ararat. The big chestnut gelding sustained an injury after winning at his only start for O'Neill Racing back in April 2016.
Purchased as a tried horse for the Arapaho Lodge team back in March 2016, Easy Best had shown good form early in his career but had been racing below his best prior to purchase. A change of scenery and a freshen up saw him salute at Echuca (backed from 30-1 into 9-1) but sadly he injured a tendon soon after. A good spell and some extensive rehabilitation saw him return to the races. He's now had a win and a second for the team, and will be racing this Saturday at Murtoa.
Bold Approach ran a fantastic race at Bendigo last week, leading all the way until the final bound, where he was just nabbed to get 2nd in a photo. The free-wheeling grey will benefit from the run and should be hard to beat next start.
We have a few new and old faces resuming in the next fortnight, so keep an eye out for Eco Road on debut for the stable (emergency at Seymour this Sunday), along with Arapaho Alidor, Zoot Suit Riot, Woodbine Miss and Larrikan Prince all ready to go.
